Evaluation is…..
The process of discovering by the people
what has been accomplished what has been
left out and what remains to be done.

When do we conduct the

EVALUATION?
MONITORING VS. EVALUATION
Evaluation - Evaluation means finding out if
you have achieved the effect on your target
population that you said you would achieve,
after you have finished implementing the
activities.

Monitoring - means keeping track of what

you are doing while you are doing it, so that
you can take corrective action if necessary.
Evaluation is conducted to:
• Determine whether program or project has accomplished the
objectives intended for
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of the plan for revision or
replication
• Identify factor which contributed to success of failure
• Serve as basis for continuous improvement of the community
for future plans
An indicator of success in community organizing
is when people are able to:
A. Participate in community activities for the solution of a
community problem
B. Implement activities for the solution of the community
problem
C. Plan activities for the solution of the community problem
D. Identify the community problem as a common concern
