their purposes and they are structured differently.
Some text narrates a series, while others explain
how something works. Other text types give
instructions or list procedures, while others argue
for a point to convince readers.

 The Story of Babu and the Lion
One day, there was a slave whose name was Babu. His master was
very, very bad. You know, he often punched Babu and did not offer
him food for days. Poor Babu! So he escaped into a forest and slept
in a cave.
Next morning, he heard a loud roar. In front of him...., at the mouth
of the cave..., was a very big lion. You see, Babu was scared to
death! Kind of scary, isn’t it? But he could not escape.
But the lion didn’t attack him. It was tame. There was a large thorn
in its right front foot. The lion looked at Babu. It seemed to say
something like:”Please help me. It’s very painful.” Babu walked
bravely to the lion and pulled out the thorn. Babu and the lion turned
out to be friends.

Anger tells us we need to take action to put something
right. It gives us strength and energy, and motivates us to
act.

problems with relationships, work and even the law.

 Planting Seeds and How it Grows
It’s about planting seeds and how it grows. It includes a
seed of a bean being planted on a pot and is watered daily.
When the seed is on the ground it will crack and will
slowly grow into a sprout. With enough water and sunlight
the bean will grow healthy. The roots oif the plant will
grow and burrow into the soil in order fir it to support its
upper body and for it to get nutrients underneath. With the
help of sunlight, the plant can also bear its own fruit.

My family used to visit my grandparents’ farm in the
province. I had all the first-time experiences such as:
riding on a carabao, climbing fruit trees, swimming in
the river and pounding pinipig rice. I could not forget

cake for us. I felt that life in the farm was fun. It made
me realize that happiness cannot only be found at the
city but also in the countryside.

received 400,000 additional doses of Sinovac’s COVID-19
vaccine CoronaVac.
