 Introduction

• In 1820, Oersted discovered that magnetic field is produced by current

carrying conductor. After this discovery Scientists started trying to produce

electricity from magnetic field.

• In 1831, Michael Faraday discovered that electric current is produced in a

coil, when there is relative motion between the coil & the magnet. This

current is called INDUCED CURRENT and EMF is called INDUCED

EMF.

• This discovery has brought tremendous changes in human life as it forms

the basics of modern electricity era.
