SOLID
FIGURES
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson the 90% learners would be able to;
a.Identify the nets of the following space figures: cube prism,
pyramid, cylinder, cone and sphere;
b.Draw and form a different solid figures: cube prism, pyramid,
cylinder, cone and sphere ;and
c. Realize the importance of the nets of the following solid figures:
cube prism, pyramid, cylinder, cone and sphere.

1. Flat parts of a solid figures. Faces
2. The line where two faces meet. Edge
3. The point where the three edges meet. Vertex
4. Closed figure that can be folded into a closed 3-dimensional figure. Nets
5. A polyhedron whose base is a polygon. The lateral faces are
triangles. Pyramid
6. A solid figure with curved surface of points that are all of the same
distance from the center. Sphere
7. A solid figure with curved surfaces and one circular base. Cone
8. A solid figure with a curved surfaces and that has two circular bases that
are congruent and parallel. Cylinder

APPLICATION
(Group Activity) Each group will make
at least one solid figure from the nets
of the following.
•Group 1- Cone
•Group II- Cylinder
•Group III- Cube
