Introduction
The professional development session aims to
empower teachers in making informed, data-
driven, student-centered instructional
decisions aligned with state and district
academic standards. The session is designed
to be engaging, applicable, and focused on
providing teachers with practical ideas and
materials they can readily integrate into their
classrooms.
3
Learning Objectives
Teachers will:
1. Identify strategies for effective classroom engagement that
align with the school's vision and mission.
2. Develop a personalized plan to integrate time-saving
instructional practices without compromising student
engagement.
3. Explore technology tools that enhance instructional
efficiency while promoting student-centered learning.
Gagné’s 9 Events of Instruction are incoroperated in all objectives: Gain attention, Inform,
Stimulate Recall of Prior Learning, Present the Content, Provide Learning Guidance, Elicit
Performance, Provide Feedback, Assess Performance and Enhance Retention and Transfer
Mission Statement: Through our curriculum, we will facilitate
learning by providing relevant, multidimensional learning
experiences. We will place a special emphasis on the integrated
applications of mathematics, science, foreign language and
technology to prepare students to function productively in our
global environment.
Mission and
Vision
Map out your Schedule: Make a schedule for the next week using Google Calendar or your paper planner. You
can use this to help you schedule your time and see how your week will go.
TIME SAVING
INSTRUCTIONAL Include Time-saving Techniques: To maximize the time you spend in the classroom, consider techniques like
creating effective routines, assigning students to groups based on their interests, or timing tasks.
STRATEGIES
Use Technology: Utilize technology to automate processes like as lesson planning, attendance tracking, and
grading. You'll be able to focus on more crucial things and save time by doing this.
Create Mini Lessons: Divide up your lessons into simple, smaller sections. You'll be able to cover more ground
in less time and maintain student interest by doing this.
Incorporating State
and District Standards:
Teachers explore techniques such as
backward design, where learning objectives
are derived from academic standards,
ensuring that instructional materials are
purposefully aligned. Techniques include
utilizing state-provided exemplars and
frameworks to guide the creation of content-
based materials while maintaining
engagement and quality.
