‟Now let's all watch the video presentation of a teacher showing the
difference between the three writing techniques.” (Play the video)

writing technique? Persuasive writing convinces the reader of the validity of the writer's
argument and builds arguments on opinion and factual statements.
In an Argumentative writing technique the main argument presented is
elaborated and explained through the presentation of its pros (in favor
of) and cons (against) of your position in an issue or topic.”

Examples of Informative, Persuasive and Argumentative writing.

‟We have here examples photos with caption or statement, what you're
Expected Answers:
going to do is analyze it and tell us whether it is under the form
informative, persuasive or argumentative.” ‟I think this is both informative and persuasive as the advertisement try
to give us information about this Siskiyou Eye Center which tells us that
they can provide quality treatment that can really improve our eyes. At
the same time they are trying to persuade us because they are trying
also to convince like instead of believing in the old folk tale that carrots
can improve your eyes, try to visit their center then we can really achieve
better eyesight.”

‟It is persuasive, in the business advertisement is one way of the

company to introduce their product and of course to persuade
customers. This ad or image tells us to try the product or make this
product as part of our everyday life.”

‟These three images have really something to do with argumentative

and persuasive as well. The statement of Actor Enchong Dee is very
awakening like he wants to tell or persuade the president to see the
reality, there is no magic that what he need to do is an immediate action
regarding the situation pandemic.”

‟We can also tell the second and third picture as argumentative as it
shows the presidential debate way back 2016 and another President
Rodrigo Duterte and Spokesperson Salvador Panelo who had a different
point of view as Panelo criticize the President how the way he always
jokes in front of people which is sometimes not good for a President to
act in serious situation.”

E. Discussing new concepts and practicing skills #2

(The teacher will explain the parts and how these Informative,
Persuasive and argumentative essay can be from through a
PowerPoint Presentation)

‟After discussing the three types of writing techniques, for us to create

an effective essay we will now proceed to its parts and how our essay
become more meaningful and powerful to influence the reader.”

Parts of Informative, Persuasive, and Argumentative Essay.

‟For informative we have I+MID+C, the introduction (will read the

definition on the slide), in the middle which is the body that includes the
main idea and you need to use accurate facts here. And for the last
paragraph, the conclusion (read the definition on the slide).”

‟For persuasive parts we have I+B3R+C, first is the introduction which

articulate your source of information with a thesis statement, then body,
take note the number 3 and letter R because in persuasive writing you
need to list 3 reasons for your opinion. Finally for the C or conclusion as
well, you need to restate your opinion in a persuasive way meaning,
aside from convincing your readers you will tell them to act or do
something about the topic or issue that you shared to them.”

‟Lastly for the parts of Argumentative we have I-C/T+B-PCR+C.”

‟For the introduction, your statement of opinion will be the topic of the
argument. Meaning your claim will be the topic.”

‟For the bodies take note of the letters PCR, because you need to show
proofs of facts that support your argument. Then counter arguments, an
argument that your reader would make them disagree with your claim
and of course rebuttal/ refutation, your response to the counter
argument given by your readers.
For the conclusion, you need a strong restatement of the original claim
which is yours (your topic).” Expected Answers:

‟For informative we have I+MID+C.”

‟Who can give me the parts of each types of writing techniques, at least
the key or symbols?” ‟For persuasive parts we have I+B3R+C.”

‟Last but not the list for argumentative, we have I-C/T+B-PCR+C.”

‟Very good. So those are the parts and steps as well that you need to
follow in order to create an effective and very meaningful essay and of
course don't forget to apply also the features or devices that employ in
persuasive writing even for informative and argumentative essay since
you need to provide facts and evidences.”

F. Developing Mastery

‟Let's try to accomplish this activity by defining the parts of essay

looking at the symbols and identifying whether it is informative,
persuasive or argumentative essay.”

Activity 2. DEFINE AND IDENTIFY Expected Answers:

‟It's argumentative essay. The 'I-C' represents the introduction which
I-C/T+B-PCR+C your claim as a topic, plus the body consisting of proof or evidence as
the pros, counter arguments as cons and response as
rebuttal/refutation. And finally C for conclusion that restate your
claim or position.”

I+MID+C ‟It is informative, the' I 'for introduction, the main idea for the body
and C for conclusion.”

‟It's persuasive, the 'I' represents for introduction, the body which
I+B3R+C consist at least 3 reasons for your opinion and letter C for conclusion
as well.”

and why?”
