inputs for the function.
Range – is the set of all possible
outputs for the function.
CONCEPT TO NOTE
Example:

CONCEPT TO NOTE
Asymptotes – is a straight line that constantly
approaches a given curve but does not meet at
any infinite distance. In other words it is a line
that curve approaches as it moves towards
infinity. It can be vertical, horizontal or slant.

INTERCEPT
- is the point (ordered pair) where a
function crosses the x or y axis.
- it is part of the solution of the graph.
To get the intercept, we simply make the other variable
equal to 0.
INTERCEPT
Ex. y = 2x + 3
To get the x – intercept, simply To get the y – intercept, simply
make y = 0 then isolate x. make x = 0 then solve for y.

y = 2x + 3 y = 2x + 3
0 = 2x + 3 y = 2(0) + 3
-3 = 2x y=0+3
-3/2 = x y=3
(-3/2, 0) (0, 3)
Ex. y = 2x + 3
To get the x – To get the y –
intercept, intercept, simply
simply make y make x = 0 then
= 0 then solve for y.
isolate x.

y = 2x + 3 y = 2x + 3
0 = 2x + 3 y = 2(0) + 3
