Concept Exploration
Read the story:

Stone Soup
• Did some villagers help him at once?
• Why did they not help him?
• How did the traveler feel when he
could not get anything from the
villagers?
• What did he do then?
What did the villagers showed in the
story?
Working together and cooperating with
others can help us achieve lots of
wonderful things - we can have great fun
too!
When we cooperate with others, we need
to use a lot of different skills. We need to
listen to everyone’s ideas, share the jobs,
give help to others and look after
everyone’s feelings
Why do you think these skills are
important when we cooperate with
others?
We can achieve wonderful things when
we cooperate and work together but it
can sometimes be a challenge too.
A good way to make cooperation easier is
to make sure everyone in the group has a
job or a role to do. Making sure everyone
sticks to their job and does it really well
can also help make cooperation a great
success!
