A. PROGRESSION
• The amount and intensity of your exercise should be
increased gradually.
•. After your body adapts to an Increased exercise intensity,
your activity/exercise becomes too easy.
You will need to increase the intensity again. (do more work!)
B. SPECIFICITY
• Sports Improvement is specific. Running laps won't help you
become a great pitcher, but it will improve your overall conditioning.
Swimming improves aerobic
endurance but not muscle resiliency or running leg endurance.
C. REVERSIBILITY
• As soon as you stop training, the positive effects
of your previous workouts will start to fade away.
This occurs within a time frame that is comparable to that
required to train the system.
