2. SAAC METHOD.
This method is particularly helpful in
summarizing any kind of text. SAAC is
an acronym for “ STATE , ASSIGN,
ACTION, COMPLETE.” Each word in
the acronym refers to a specific element
that should be included in the summary.
STATE ASSIGN ACTION COMPLETE

“The boy who cried” by AESOP (a
Greek storyteller), tells what
happens when a shepherd boy
repeatedly lies to the villagers about
seeing a wolf. After a while, they
ignore his false cries. Then, when a
wolf really does attack they don’t
come to help him.

4. FIRST THEN FINALLY.
4. FIRST THEN FINALLY.
"First,Then, Finally" is a
summarizing technique often used
to organize information in a
sequential manner, particularly in
narratives or procedural texts.
4. FIRST THEN FINALLY.
First: This section introduces the initial
step or event in a sequence. It sets the
stage for what will follow and provides
the foundational information for the rest
of the story or process.
4. FIRST THEN FINALLY.
Then: This part follows the "First"
and describes the subsequent steps or
events that occur in the sequence.
4. FIRST THEN FINALLY.

Finally: This section concludes the

sequence by describing the last step or
event.
4. FIRST THEN FINALLY.

"First, Then, Finally" structure, writers

can effectively organize information in a
clear and coherent manner, making it
easier for readers to follow along and
understand the sequence of events or
steps involved.

that meandered through the forest, its crystal-
clear waters reflecting the sunlight in a
dazzling display. Mesmerized by its beauty,

given below.
"The burgeoning advancements in the field of
quantum computing have catalyzed a paradigm
shift in computational methodologies. The
elucidation of quantum phenomena and the
subsequent harnessing of quantum bits, or qubits,
have endowed computational processes with an
unprecedented capacity for parallelism, thereby
circumventing the limitations imposed by classical
computing models."

content and format (Topic,
Sentence, paragraph outline).
. Topic Outline:

be covered.
• Provides a brief overview of the content
without going into detail.
Sentence Outline:
Provides a more detailed overview of the
content compared to a topic outline.
Each main point is expressed as a
complete sentence.
. Paragraph Outline:
• Offers the most detailed overview among
the three types.
• Each main point is developed into a full
paragraph.

What makes an effective leader? To be sure, no
one characteristic or trait defines an effective
leader. It is true, however, that effective leaders
get the most out of employees or group members
by holding them to very high standards or
expectations.
. "Setting high standards increases
productivity because people tend to live up
to the expectations set for them by
superiors. This is an example of the
Pygmalion effect, which works in a subtle,
often unconscious way.
When a managerial leader believes that a
group member will succeed, the manager
communicates this belief without realizing
that he or she is doing so.
. Conversely, when a leader expects a group
member to fail, that person will not usually
disappoint the manager. The manager's
expectation of success or failure becomes a self-
fulfilling prophecy. Thus, it pays for a manager to
expect the best from employees.
Main Idea: Effective leaders
encourage a high level of
performance by expecting the best
from their employees.
