BOXING

 A sport in which two people engage in a
contest of strength, speed, reflexes, endurance,
and will, by throwing punches at each other,
until a knockdown, or the game is over
 The game consists of different rounds
(maximum of 12 rounds and 3 minutes per
round for professional boxers)

WHAT IS BOXING?
 It can be traced back to ancient civilizations such as
Greece and Rome, where it was practiced as a form of
entertainment and competition. Modern boxing emerged
in the late 19th century with the establishment of
standardized rules and the introduction of gloves. It
quickly became popular and spread across the world,
with notable fighters such as Muhammad Ali, Mike
Tyson, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. achieving
international fame.

 Common equipment for boxing include: Boxing gloves, mouth-
guard, and headgear (for amateurs)
 There are many different sizes for boxing gloves used and its
dependent upon the fighters weight
 Padding in boxing gloves is also a requirement whilst boxing, the
gloves are padded to reduce injuries of the boxers wrists and the
damage to the boxer receiving the punch

 Strength training: improves power and physical performance.
 Cardiovascular conditioning: improves endurance.
 Technique training: focus on proper form and movements.
 Sparring: practice and refine skills in a safe environment.
 Mental preparation: develop mental toughness and focus.
 Diet and nutrition: eat a balanced diet with protein, healthy fats, and
carbohydrates.
 Rest and recovery: crucial for recovery and avoiding overtraining.

MY OPINION ON BOXING
• Boxing is a great sport to increase coordination, strength, and mentality
• It is also quite a dangerous sport so be careful and make sure to take
enough breaks and relax
