1. The document does not cover all the requirements of disabled people in detail. Most of the
recommended measures have been tested in developed and developing countries, and while
some have proven to be effective; the outcome of others is still unknown as the local
conditions; resources and needs must be taken into account while developing accessible
environment.

2. Practical advice from technical, legal, Building By laws, professional and academic
institutions as well as individuals with disabilities is also of the utmost importance in shaping
the final form of an accessible India.
