Introduction:

I am thrilled to share the incredible journey I embarked on during my


one-month internship with the Spherule Foundation. Working in the
dynamic realm of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), I dived into a
sea of experiences that left an indelible mark on my understanding of
the corporate world.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As an intern at Spherule Foundation, I had the opportunity to
work in the CSR Corporate Social Responsibility department.
During my one-month internship, I was part of a team that
provided "Connecting Communities: CSR Initiatives as a
Bridge. I garnered invaluable insights into the corporate
world. Beginning with an un ". I actively participated in CSR
projects, collaborating with government hospitals to address
critical shortages, engaging with CSR heads of major
corporations, and investigating caste and social
discrimination issues in India. Venturing into the field, I
conducted surveys for Christmas gift distribution and
contributed to organizing a cancer-free check for women in
Pune's slums. These experiences enriched my understanding
and readiness for the corporate landscape, and I express my
gratitude to the Spherule team for the enriching journey.
ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE

Spherule Foundation started in the year 2016 with a


vision to work primarily to bring deep-rooted sustainable
change in people & lives, vision is to create an equal, just
and sustainable society.
We are doing various awareness sessions, initiatives,
workshops and seminars in schools, colleges,
orphanages, slums, villages and communities all across
India.

We have started this initiative in Assam, Bihar, Odisha,


Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra
Pradesh, Telangana, Goa and Kerala.

• During my internship, I had the


privilege of working alongside inspiring
mentors, Carmen Ma'am and My co-
partner Sourowdeep Ghosh. Their
guidance fueled my curiosity and
passion for making a meaningful
impact.
CSR Project - 01
• Supporting Needy Hospitals:

In one of my CSR projects, I connected with government hospitals in


Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Witnessing the shortage of ICU units
and surgical instruments, our organization swiftly responded, providing
essential equipment to bridge the gap
CSR Project – 02
• Engaging with MNCs CSR Head:
Another highlight was collaborating with CSR heads of prominent
MNCs. This experience not only expanded my knowledge but also
taught me valuable communication skills in engaging with corporate
leaders.
CSR Project - 03
• Tackling Social Issues:
Addressing the profound issue of Caste and Social Discrimination in
India became a significant endeavor. Researching and documenting this
critical topic highlighted the Foundation's commitment to driving social
change.
CSR Project - 04
• Christmas Gift Distribution and Field Work:
One of the most heartwarming experiences was conducting a survey
for Christmas gift distribution in Mhada Colony Pune's slums. As a
Marketing Intern, this hands-on approach provided immense practical
learning and insight into the real world.

• Contributing to Social Work:
From wrapping Christmas gifts for the needy to decorating the Spherule
office, I had the chance to contribute my efforts to various social
initiatives.

• Community Awareness in Pune Slums:
Taking our mission to the ground, I actively participated in raising
awareness about the Carnival Cancer-Free Check for women aged 30 to
60 in Pune's slums. CSR Project - 03
Methodology Adopted for Data Collection:
1.Needy Government Hospitals Project:
• Approach: Conducted via phone calls and maintained a spreadsheet.
• Objective: Address shortages in ICU units and surgical instruments
in government hospitals.
• Scope: Covered multiple hospitals in Mandya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
• Responsibilities: Connected with hospitals, assessed needs, and facilitated the provision
• of necessary medical equipment.

2.Corporate CSR Engagement Project:


• Approach: Utilized social platforms like LinkedIn, Gmail, and browsing.
• Objective: Connect with Corporate Social Responsibility heads of major MNCs.
• Learning: Enhanced communication skills and gained insights into corporate dynamics.
• Responsibilities: Established connections, fostered partnerships, and contributed to CSR
initiatives.
• 4. **Christmas Gift Distribution Survey:**
• - **Approach:** Conducted a field survey in MHADA colony slums.
• - **Objective:** Gather relevant data for Christmas gift distribution to
children and the needy.
• - **Significance:** Major task as a Marketing Intern, providing
practical learning experiences.
• - **Responsibilities:** Engaged with communities, assessed needs,
and contributed to the distribution process.

5. **Social Work Initiatives:**
- **Christmas Gift Wrapping and Office Decoration:**
- Conducted at the office to foster a festive atmosphere.
- Contributed efforts to wrap Christmas gifts for needy individuals.
6.**Community Awareness in Pune's Slums:**
- **Approach:** Conducted via field visits in Borate Nagar and Kharadi, Pune.
- **Objective:** Raise awareness about the Carnival cancer-free check for women aged 30 to 60.
- **Involvement:** Actively worked on the field to inform and engage the local community.
- **Impact:** Contributed to a social cause, promoting health awareness
