TYPES OF RELATIONSHIPS:
Relationship is the way people behave towards each other. When two people are friendly towards each
other and get on well together, we say that they have a good relationship.
Formal : Informal :
• Between people who usually meet because of work, school • Between people we like and know very well
or sports, music • People are in first-names terms
• People are addressed by using surname
• There is required formal behaviour, formal language,
authority, respect and politness
• With time they can turn into informal ones
Long-term :
• Marriage - 2 people who are in love get married
because they want to spend their rest of life together
Short-term :
• There are no long-term commitments or
expectations about starting a future together
• People may feel unhappy, be unable to trust or not feel they are trusted
