ROLES in a STAGE PRODUCTION
• PRODUCER- Who takes the play from a mere concept to an actual finished presentation
• DIRECTOR- is the overall artistic coordinator of the entire production
• PLAYWRIGHT- he is the writer of the script
• SET DESIGNER- Has the task of the concept and creation of the physical stage set-up.
• LIGHTING DESIGNER- He coordinates with the set designer
• COSTUME DESIGNER- He decides the attire of the actors and actresses
ROLES in a STAGE PRODUCTION
• SOUND DESIGNER- Creates and enhances the atmosphere of the performance, includes
music.
• PRODUCTION MANAGER- coordinating all complex behind-the-scenes details of staging a
play
• TECHNICAL DIRECTOR- Shadows the play’s director throughout the entire production
process
• CHOREOGRAPHER- he is included if there is a dance, involved in a play
• MAKE-UP DESIGNER-Plans the hairstyles and make-up to complement the costumes
