civilization and sedentary lifestyles due
to food surpluses from domesticated
species. Agricultural science studies this
field, with its history spanning
millennia, shaped by climates, cultures,
and technologies. Industrial agriculture,
dominated by large-scale monoculture
farming, is the prevailing method today.
