Introduction
The Administrative Order No: 2021- 0063 otherwise
known as the Department of Health Promotional
Framework Strategy 2030 includes “The Seven Healthy
Habits” which serves as a basis for population – wide
solutions to the seven priority areas of health.
Priority Areas for Health Promotion
All health promotion intervention's shall be anchored on the following priority areas (PAS) or risk factors:

01 Diet and Physical Activity

02 Environmental Health

03 Immunization

04 Substance Abuse

05 Mental Health

06 Sexual and Reproductive Health

07 Violence and Injury Prevention


Diet and Physical
Activity
Nutrition shall be improved through healthy diets,
physical activity shall be increased to reduce all forms
of malnutrition and prevent development of non –
communicable diseases;
MOVE MORE, EAT RIGHT!
 Follow the Pinggang Pinoy
 Exercise daily for at least 30 minutes
 Read your food labels
 Bike, walk or jog to your commute
 Avoid trans- fat, sugar sweetened beverages and
excessive salt

Sustainable lifestyles and resilient communities
shall be fostered to minimize environmental risks
and climate impacts on health

Be Clean, Live Sustainably
 Regularly wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds
(at least)
 Practice the 3R’s: Reuse, Reduce and Recycle
 Always be prepared with your emergency go bags
 Make sure to use clean, potable water when drinking or / and
preparing meals
 Avoid using single – use plastics, choose reusable containers

Vaccine use shall be promoted to reduce the
incidence of vaccine – preventable diseases,
disabilities and death

Get Vaccinated!
 Seek what vaccines are available for you
 Ask your Primary Care Provider about the safety and efficacy
of vaccines
 Complete the 5 visits to the health center before the 1 st
birthday of an infant
 Encourage senior citizens to take vaccines that are
appropriate at their life stage
 Educate adolescent females and mothers on the age
appropriate vaccines for girls and women

Tobacco use, illicit drug use and harmful use of
alcohol shall be prevented to reduce or eliminate
the ill effect associated health conditions

 Know when and who to consult for substance addiction

increased and protected to reduce the burden of
mental health disorders and incidence of suicide

Health
Positive sexual and reproductive behaviors shall
be promoted to reduce early, unwanted
pregnancies, incidence of HIV infections and
sexually – transmitted diseases

Sexually Active:
Volunteer for testing for HIV and STIs
 If you are sexually active, undergo voluntary testing for HIV
and STI’s
 Know the different modern contraceptive methods and use
what suits you best
 Make healthy decisions for safe motherhood
 Practice safe sexual behaviors
 Demonstrate sex positivity
 Promote equality for women and LGBTQ+

Violence and Injury
Prevention
Safe and inclusive communities shall be fostered to
eliminate the various forms of violence and injuries,
including interpersonal violence or gender- based
violence, as well as road traffic, fireworks and
occupational related injuries

Do No Harm, Put Safety First
 Say no to fireworks and firecrackers during the holidays
 Use alternative noise makers for celebrations or attend community fireworks
displays
 Don’t practice risky behaviors when swimming to avoid drowning
 Practice road safety by wearing seatbelts, helmets and other safety measures
on the road
 Don’t drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
 Report incidence of violence, especially to women and minority groups
