Quarter 2
Angle
Measurement
Ms. Mikee M. Villanueva
At the end of this lesson, you will be
able to:
• convert degree measure to radian measure and vice versa
(STEM_PC11T-IIa-2).
3. rad
4. rad
Convert each degree measure to
radians. Leave answers in terms of .
1. 15 °
2. 265 °
3. -120 °
Convert each radian measure to
degree measure.
1. rad
2. rad
3. rad
Angles in Standard Position
In a rectangular
coordinate system, an angle
is said to be in the standard
position when its vertex is at
the origin (0,0) and its initial
side coincides with the
positive side of the x-axis.
Coterminal angles
Two angles are said to be coterminal if they are in standard position and have
same terminal side.
Coterminal Angles
Two angles are coterminal if and only if their
degree measures differ by 360°k, where k Z.
Similarly, two angles are coterminal if and
only if their radian measures differ by 2k,
where k Z.
Coterminal Angles
In finding the coterminal of an angle, you can use the
formula
or
where:
𝑚𝛽 = given angle
𝑘 = number of revolutions, where k Z
Find the smallest positive
coterminal angle.
1.
Find two positive and two negative
coterminal angles of the following
angles
