Causes of Air Pollution and their solution

INDUSTRY
In many parts of the world, electricity generation is one of the main sources of air
pollution. Coal-fired power plants make a significant contribution to air pollution. A
growing concern is the use of diesel generators in areas not connected to the public
grid. Industrial manufacturing processes and the use of solvents in the chemical and
mining industries also pollute the air.

Problem solving

• • maintenance of equipment and systems during operation in good

condition; • organization of the enterprise's activities to prevent
harmful emissions from entering the environment; • organization of
control over the state of systems for cleaning harmful emissions and
the environment; • providing enterprises with portable means of
monitoring the state of the natural environment and collecting leaks of
polluted waters; • provision of all enterprises with visual campaigning
on environmental protection.
TRANSPORT
The global transport sector accounts for almost a quarter of energy-related carbon dioxide
emissions, and this proportion continues to increase. Such transport emissions are strongly
associated with nearly 400,000 premature deaths. Nearly half of all deaths from vehicle air
pollution are due to diesel emissions, and those who live close to highways are 12 percent
more likely to be diagnosed with dementia.

Reducing transport emissions is an important step to improve air quality, especially in cities.
Policy decisions and standards requiring the use of cleaner fuels, as well as stricter standards
for pollutant emissions from vehicles, can reduce pollutant emissions from the transport sector
by 90 percent or more.

Addressing vehicle air pollution problems

1юConstant improvement of engine models

and reduction of car bodies in order to
minimize their fuel consumption. 2.Use of
environmentally friendly fuels (natural gas,
liquid hydrogen, ethyl alcohol and other
varieties of "green gasoline").
RECYCLING
Open burning of garbage and burial of organic waste in landfills leads to
emissions of harmful dioxides, furans, and methane into the atmosphere.
Worldwide, approximately 40 percent of waste is burned outdoors. This
problem is most acute in regions where the process of urbanization is
proceeding rapidly, as well as in developing countries. Open burning of
agricultural and/or municipal waste is practiced in 166 out of 193
countries.
Improving methods for collecting, sorting and disposing of
solid waste can reduce the amount of waste that is sent to
incineration or landfill. The separation of organic waste and its
processing into compost or biofuel increases soil fertility and
is one of the alternative energy sources. Reducing the roughly
one-third of all food that is wasted or wasted can also improve
air quality.
Solution

Plasma utilization The most modern method of utilization is the plasma method. It is
carried out in two stages: Waste is crushed and compressed under pressure. The
resulting substances are sent to the reactor, in which they acquire a gaseous state.

Even in the last century, the processing of household waste

mainly occurred through composting. To do this, the garbage
was thrown into specially dug pits and sprinkled with earth.
The waste was subjected to a decomposition process and
eventually used as fertilizer.
