INTRODUCTION
All about the series of constant
term and introducing what is the nth
term test of the divergence.
The concept of series of constant terms and
the nth term test of divergence.
A series is a sum of an infinite sequence of
terms. When the terms of a series are constant,
we call it a series of constant terms. The nth
term test of divergence is a method used to
determine whether a series of constant terms
converges or diverges. This test involves taking
the limit of the nth term of the series as n
approaches infinity.
If the limit is not equal to zero, then the
series diverges. If the limit is equal to
zero, then the test is inconclusive and other
methods must be used to determine
convergence or divergence.
Let's start by understanding what a series of constant terms
is.

When the terms of a series are constant, it

means that each term in the sequence has the
same value. For example, consider the series 1 + 1
+ 1 + 1 + ... In this series, each term is 1, so it is a
series of constant terms.
The nth term of divergence refers to
the general formula for the nth term of
a series that does not converge to a
finite limit. In the context of a series of
constant terms, the nth term is simply
the constant value itself, as each term
in the series is the same.
The nth term refers to the value of the term at the nth
position in the series.
If the limit of the nth term as n approaches infinity is not
equal to zero, then the series diverges. This means that
the sum of the series does not have a finite value and
keeps growing indefinitely.

On the other hand, if the limit of the nth term as n

approaches infinity is equal to zero, the test is inconclusive.
This means that the series may converge or diverge, and
we need to use other methods to determine its
convergence or divergence.
TAKE NOTE:
The nth term test of divergence only tells us about
the divergence of a series. It does not provide
information about convergence.
To determine convergence, we need to use other
tests such as the geometric series test, the integral
test, or the comparison test.

Series of Constant Terms:

•A series of constant terms is a sequence in which each term

has the same value.
• For example, the series 4 + 4+ 4 + 4 + ... consists of constant
terms, where each term is the number 4.
