INTRODUCTION
 Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly
buy goods or services from a seller over the internet using a web browser.

 Online shopping refers to the process of buying goods or services over the internet
through websites or mobile applications. Instead of visiting physical stores, customers
can browse through a variety of products, compare prices, make purchases, and have
items delivered to their doorstep with just a few clicks or taps on their electronic
devices.

 An online shop evokes the physical analogy of buying products or services at a regular
"brick-and-mortar" retailer or shopping center; the process is called business-to-
consumer (B2C) online shopping.
Online stores typically enable shoppers to use "search" features to
find specific models, brands, or items.
Online customers must have access to the Internet and a valid
method of payment to complete a transaction, such as a credit card,
an Interac-enabled debit card, or a service such as PayPal.

The largest of these online retailing corporations are Alibaba,


Amazon.com, and eBay.

The increasing popularity of online retail is closely associated with
the growth of new eCommerce technologies. The convenience of
purchasing online has increased significantly. Consequently, the
global eCommerce industry is expected to grow by about $13
trillion between 2022 and 2027.

It has left a significant impact on traditional retailing. According to


the latest report- around 2.77 billion people are expected to shop
online by 2025. Business-to-business (B2B) eCommerce also
shows continuous growth in 2023.
