Week 5 was wonderful. In reading, we looked at the diference between facts and
opinions, and we reviewed antonyms. In grammar, we started our unit on
pronouns with sentence agreement. In math, we started our unit on
multiplication by practicing 2 and 3 digit problems with exponents added in. We
went back in time to the Civil War in research and wrote historical fction
newscasts on major Civil War battles. We became 2-0 in the Mystery Skype
Challenge as we took on a 5th grade class from Illinois. Bonjour! We also wrote
our hello letters to our pen pals in France. We ended the week on a high note by
taking over the number 1 spot in the school in coupon books sales!!!
