Subject: Conventionpricingfor new students

In regards to convent-ion prrcing for new students (as we discussed and passed a1- last
Sunday's MS meeting), r-hrs is what WSD took to IAGSDC l-ast year. I've spoken with John,
'ra 'F,\r Dr6q :nd ne will allow us to specrk Lo thLs durinq new business aL Lhe delegates
'1*o-:n4 tL is ',olI

I'm copyinq WSD, fCD (both of which have endorsed thls proposal), and now DD (I've spoken
with their riew secretary) to get an agreement on the outl-ine. John woul-d lrke only one
person to introduce the proposal, but of course alI clubs coufd speak to it.

St-eve may ha-ze the actr-ra1 letl-er, but I don'1-.

Best,

Joe

l'1yproposal is s imple:

1) An1, ri.tr (I nean new, not repeat) MS students who complete their first MS class between
one conventlon and the next should be al,Iowed to register at the lowest aclvertiseci rate
f o r Convenl- iorr .

f i r j s w o u l C | . l Ot ' j r r c l r . r d e , i o r exaniple, re;re,:L i'ilS, Flus (uniess 1-hty also cotrprleLr-l i'11--l
pric,r t,o thr: Convention) , or cthcr: sl,udents.

3) Thi,s would NOT' jnclucle the price, shor.rld there be one, of registering at one Conve:ntjort
for Lhe ncxl (for example, VERY early bird registration in Phoenix for Si,licon Valley) .

4) Thj s a llows us to rea111z, reaLly encouraqe new student-s to go anci get experienr:e Lhat-
niight charge them up f or a lrf etime of dancit-tg.

5) My proposaL would ask our delegate to Convention to brrng this up for very early
eliscu-ssiorr, buL not to apply Lo 20O5 bul to Ihe next Convention in 2006, grving the next
host city Line to work on these details, lNote: Steve and DaryI ctrd discuss this, as noted
above, with John in Phoerrir..]

6) ImpLementation? TLre ctub Presldent-/Aclministrator would "certify" on a regisl-ration

1) I underst-and that the IAGSDC board may nof- want to bring up NEW business, such as this

decision at the 2005 Convention. IAs noted previously, thi.s has been accomplrshed. ]
