ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORTI.IntroductionThrough all these years educational system in the Philippines is continuously being shape andreshaped subjected to serious scrutiny in the efforts to improve the quality and at the same time widen theopportunities of the citizens for access to basic education. Thus, it is mandated in the Republic act 9155,otherwise known as “Governace of Basic Education Act of 2001.” That the Department of Educationshall protect and promote the right of all citizens to quality basic education accessible to all..It is along this line that Catarman SPED Center continue to support in the implementation of thedifferent program an d projects of the Department of Education, Northern Samar, through the efforts of the competent teachers and administrator with supportive stakeholders that will help improve the learners performance towards the quality basic education.II. Situational OverviewCatarman SPED Center is one of the schools of the Catarman I District offering qualityeducation to the fast learners/mentally gifted and differently abled children.The school is bounded on the North by barangay Airport Village, on the East by Catarman ICentral School, on the South by Barangay Acacia, and on West by Municipal road just adjacent to the Northern Samar Hospital and still with barangay Acacia.The school site of Catarman SPED Center is owned by Catarman I Central School. Repair two classrooms for theSPED classroom particularlyon roofing, ceiling and painting.
Installation of new PressurePump in preparation for theAccommodation and hostingthe Division Camp and Fair 2009.
Tilling the Grade II roomthrough ther efforts of Mrs.Aimee P. Anquilo the Adviser and the material solicited fromthe PDF of board member Ruben Acedella.
Repaired (1) classroom ceilingfor SPED Class from DepEd.
Installed (1) Jetmatic Pump
Constructed hand washingfacility
Constructed 6 meters coveredwalk from Grade I Harp PTA project under the advisory of Mrs Nenarose Arraiza.
Completed the floor filling of Grade II Xylophone room of Mrs. Aimee Anquillo theadviser, materials used for theconstruction were solicitedfrom the parents.
Re installation of the electricalwiring from the PTA Fund(Search for Mr. and Ms. United Nations ’09.3
