MINUTES OF THE TOWN OF NEWBOLD LAKES COMMITTEE FOR TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21 , 2012 Rt. 47 and Apperson Drive, Rhinelander, WI 54501 1. 2. 3. 4. Chairperson Scott Eshelman called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.

In attendance: Connie Muckelberg, Paul Kuhn, J.R. Bartelt, Jim Staskiewicz (until 6:30). The minutes of January 17, 2012 were approved as printed. The following lake associations reported as follows: a. Tom Doyle Lake is postponing its installation of fish cribs; preparations for the Spring newsletter have begun. b. Two Sisters Lake received yet another survey and is anticipating Onterras winter lake sampling. c. Lake Mildred also anticipates the winter lake sampling from Onterra. Members are invited to the Lake Mildred stakeholders meeting on 4/20 10 am-1 pm at the Town Hall. d. Flannery/Velvet Lakeall quiet on the western front.

5. A lengthy discussion of the Rapid Response Pamphlet was conducted. Numerous editing changes were suggested. Scott will attempt to remember them all and provide options at the March meeting. 6. A lengthy discussion regarding Education Packets was held. Paul Kuhn presented a boatload of possible inclusions in the packet. By consensus the committee decided to support efforts of individual lakes, specifically Flannery/Velvet and Lake Mildred to run a pilot program to assess how these go over with members. It was also decided that Scott would approach a non-member lake to see if they would be interested in receiving the materials. 7. On a motion by J.R. Bartelt and a second by Connie Muckelberg the meeting was adjourned at 7:40 pm. The next meeting will be on March 20, 2012 at 5:30 pm. Respectfully submitted,
