Continue your BOOK IT reading! (Orange sheet is due by Halloween) Our new Spelling Words are: hot hop pop pot dot not back pick now want Our new Word Wall Words are: every of so not don't Our new Sweet Sentence is: Where can we buy corn in November? ~~~~~~~Please note the following and mark your calendar:~~~~~~ Oct. 31st- day of school due to Teachers Inservice- Dismissal will be at 11:42 We will be having Halloween CENTERS in the AM. (Helpers will be needed!) BOOK-IT forms are also DUE! Oct. 25th- Book Buddies begins! We will be working with Mrs. Kohanovs 5th graders! Nov. 6th-9th- Parent-Teacher Conferences (Your scheduled time will be coming home after 10/23) Nov. 12th- Picture re-take day for those who were absent or want a re-do Nov. 13th- 7:00 pm PTA meeting (Babysitting is provided so come join us!) Nov. 21st- 23rd- NO SCHOOL due to Thanksgiving Break Our first grade feast will probably be on Tuesday, Nov. 20th and more information will be available at conferences. Its so much fun! Nov. 26th- 30th- PTAs Fall Book Fair (I will let you know when our buying day is.) THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all of our chaperones who were able to come with us to the farm! We really appreciated all you did for us and hope you know we wouldnt have been able to have gone without YOU! Class T shirt: I am currently working with a group on a design for our classroom shirt. This shirt will be the one we will wear on all field trips, on Field Day, and any other place/time where we are showing our class pride. It will be a shirt that will be unique to our class, so stay tuned! A big Room 42 THANK YOU goes out to Mrs. Sheckler for helping us celebrate our 100 Marbles goal! We made awesome cookies and watched a fun movie. Be sure to ask your child about all of the fun we had! Its time! Accelerated Reader should be up and running sometime next week! WOO HOO! Be sure to stop by the office and THANK Mrs. Butterworth for her hard work on this endeavor, as well as our PTA for purchasing it the service. Room 42 cant wait to get started!! SWEET SENTENCE: For students who are looking for more of a spelling challenge, we will begin taking a test on the weeks Sweet Sentence. This sentence is for students who pass Thursdays pretest. It will be a brief sentence that will reflect the focus of the weeks spelling words, but will also include grammar, punctuation as well. What makes is a sweet sentence?
