SWEET SENTENCE: Now that your campers have mastered the procedure of taking a
spelling test, I am offering the challenge of a sweet sentence. For campers who master
our spelling words on the Wednesday Pre Test, a Sweet Sentence will be given on Friday
For campers who need another shot at the spelling words on Friday, those words will
continue to be given again. Sweet Sentences are not graded, but purely for a fun
practice of mastering core first grade skills such as using a capital, word wall/spelling
word pattern, and punctuation. I will slowly read the sentence orally to the testers, and
then repeat it word by word. They are to write the sentence down to the best of their
ability. (All while enjoying their sweet treat!)
SCOOTPAD: I have had several parents contact me, saying they cant get the additional
practice feature to work for them. I enabled this last Saturday, and thought all was
well, but apparently I need to email the company. Stay tuned! ;)

Looking forward to the week ahead,
