Conventions of a Title Sequence

By Oliver Tribe Standard order for titles 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) The name of the studio who is distributing the film. The production company who created the film. Name of the director or producer (or both). Stars of the film, in order of importance/famousness. Title of the film itself. Less significant actors Main crew for the development a. Casting crew b. Titles information In terms of titles, they are generally shown at the very start of the film and list many of the things shown above in the list. The titles often have a score to go with them, and are usually on a blank canvas or a reasonably simplistic image in order to make the titles visible.

Common Features of Titles

This image shows a typical title where it says -name here- presents, this usually comes up at the very start of the titles to show whose film it is.

Again, in the film Sinister we see the production company who created the film get a title at the very start.

However at the start of the film Skyfall there are no titles (as theyre all shown at the end of the film in the credits), however there is MGM displayed, the production company.
