Phonics First and final sound review building three letter words. Students should now be able to listen to a short spoken word and identify both the beginning sound and the end sound. Use games like the slaps game, where students have to race to touch the correct letter, or Sumo, where the students have to try to read a vocabulary word from their opponents back. Complete listening exercises in the workbook completing words by writing in the first and final sounds students should look at the picture, listen to the word read aloud and write in the letters.

Notes / parent follow up: If you can make time over the weekend to take your child to the zoo and explain to them the different animals in English. Pay attention to the animals that may be in their books or tv shows, and try to help them identify them by their English names.
