Q1. The table 1 below sets out a number of activities, durations and dependencies for a software project whereas the table 2 enlists the staff available for the project.

a. Draw an activity chart showing the dependence between different activities. b. Determine the Critical Path and its duration using the activity chart. c. Draw the Bar chart showing the project schedule. Also show the pattern of delay of activities in any of the two non-critical paths that do not affect the critical path. d. Draw the staff allocation vs time chart. Note: Tasks T5 and T12 are to be performed by specialists Sara and Nasir respectively. Assume that project is to be started on MON 4th March, 2013 Q2. After detailed analysis, following two risks are tabulated for a software project:Risks Risk Identification Probability Staff Inexperienced 40% of the staff would be inexperienced 30% Underestimated Development Time Project would be delayed by 20% of its schedule 25% A total of 15 staff members are required for the project; training of each inexperienced staff would cost Rs 4000/-. Project is scheduled to be completed in 20 weeks; each additional week would cost Rs 25000/-. Calculate the total Risk Exposure for the above two risks associated with the project. NOTE i. Assignment is on individual basis ii. To be prepared by hand iii. Last date of submission: MON 25th Feb, 2013
