Materials: Picture of art Time Allotted: 30 minutes Prep: none Description: Talk about how machines work Machines work by different parts working together to complete a task. Today we're going to make our own machines by working together Model for students one part of the machine Ask: Who has a movement in mind that can work with my movement? Continue to add students to the machine. Add sounds to your machine Combine students into groups of 5 or 6 Give each student a type of machine to "act out" Give students 10 minutes to 'make their machines work' Have each group take turns modeling their machine while the rest of the group guess what type of machine they are.
