Spring Break Science Opportunities


SARSEF Science FairTucson Convention Center (260 South Church Ave., Tucson, AZ 85701)
Wednesday March 13, 2013: 9 AM-8 PM, Open to Public, Exhibition Hall; 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM OPEN HOUSE! Cox Communication Future Innovators Night! ALL students and their families are invited to join area dignitaries and celebrate reaching the SARSEF level! Free parking at the TCC and open/free to the public. There will be lots of interactive displays and science activities!; Please check this website (http://www.scientek12.org/pageframe.asp?pg=27) after 8:00 P.M. for who needs to attend the Awards Ceremonies on Thursday and Friday night. Thursday March 14, 2013: 8 AM-8 PM. Project Hall Open to Public - 6:30 PM, Elementary Awards (K-5th Grade), Exhibition Hall Friday March 15, 2013: 8 AM-8PM, Project Hall Open to Public

Community Service Project


Students 2nd community service project is to be completed by March 15th. I am offering students an opportunity to participate in a service project over break. I will be supervising the construction of a fence around our classroom garden plot on Tuesday, MARCH 12 FROM 2-4 pm. All students and families are welcome to attend an help. Transportation to and from the project are the responsibility of families. Please call with any questions.

Repticon reptile conventions is proud to offer all students an opportunity to experience this show at an educational discount rate. Along with additional seminars, reptile breeders from across several states will be exhibiting thousands of snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, and other exotic species.
Student Discount: All students will also receive a $1 discount off of regular show admission if they present a school ID or a copy of the flyer available online at: http://

Regular admission to the show is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 5-12, while ages 4 and under are free. The show runs 10am 5pm on Saturday, and 10am 4pm on Sunday.
