Report from Chevron Bangladesh Drilling Morning Report:

19/082013 At approximately 17:30 hrs, lightning again struck in close proximity of the rig causing generator #3 to trip off line, lost draw works. WDI team got generator #3 back operational, got draw works working. NOTE: From electrical storm also lost all remote BOP controls, MD Totco (EDR) All MWD/LWD, SLS monitor system with the exception of one computer in mud logging unit, CVX internet, Phone systems. 23/08/2013 Progress repairs of electrical components from Lightning strike. WDI: Generator #2, Bangla Cat (local Caterpillar repair shop) still working on to see if can repair after cooler, WDI working to obtain complete after coolers from Houston/Dubai, Caterpillar in Houston will send after cooler on Aug 27th, Caterpillar Dubai has confirmed that inventory indicates one is available from Dubai Caterpillar. But will not be able to confirm until Sunday Aug 25th. 24/082013 Progress repairs of electrical components from Lightning strike. Same as 23/08/2013 25/08/2013 Generator #2, Bangla Cat (local Caterpillar repair shop) Could not repair engine #2 aftercooler, Two after-coolers for the caterpillar 3516B in route from Dubai, should arrive in Dhaka Aug-26 night. Generator #3 After starting engine multiple engine faults occurred & engine overheated. Diagnostic laptop program not working and unable to de-code engine faults. Bangla Cat due out 26th Aug. 26/08/2013 Generator #2, Bangla Cat (local Caterpillar repair shop) Could not repair engine #2 aftercooler, Two after-coolers for the caterpillar 3516B in route from Dubai, should arrive in Dhaka Aug-26 night. Bangla Cat on 26th Aug @1500hrs, run diagnostics unable to detect problem. Speculation is electronic control module, WDI has the module but not programmed. Radiator leaking through inspection bolts for radiator core, removed bolts installed thread tape and corrected leak.
