Qurbani 2013: Whats your sacrifice?

Give a little love this Qurbani and help Islamic Relief South Africa (IRSA) feed a family in need in Malawi, Zimbabwe or South Africa. Udhiyah (also referred to as Qurbani) marks the end of Hajj (pilgrimage), and is a time to reflect upon the significance of sacrifice with the Islamic tradition. Muslims observe Udhiyah/Qurbani by sharing meat with the less fortunate. Since 1986, Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) has been fostering the needs of the worlds poorest people through the implementation of Qurbani on behalf of its generous supporters. Islamic Relief ensures that the most impoverished people receive the best Qurbani possible and select only the healthiest animals, ensuring high quality meat for those whose diets lack so much. Last year, Islamic Relief South Africa slaughtered a total of 4,352 Qurbanis making it the biggest campaign to date. This year, we will once again implement the annual Qurbani campaign in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Malawi. Prices per goat/sheep range from R350 to R1,400 and include slaughtering, packing and distribution.
