What are we working on?

While we will continue to review place value to 1,000,000 and addition and subtraction with regrouping we are beginning to take a look at problems that use multiplicative comparison. A problem that uses multiplicative comparison would look something like this: I have 38 pieces of candy. My brother has 3 times that many. How many pieces of candy does my brother have?

Math

We just finished up our Idaho Geography unit with some very cool 3D pictures and writing about land forms that are unique to Idaho. For the next two weeks we will focus on science. We will take a look at various ecosystems beginning with plant and animal cells.

Science/Social Studies Language Arts

In reading we are continuing to build our reading stamina while working together in leveled small groups. We have finished writing our rough drafts for our personal narrative and we will begin to revise and publish them soon!
