Protective Lighting
Check lights for operation daily prior to darkness The cones of illumination from lamps are to directed downward and away from the facility proper and away from guard personnel lights must be mounted to provide glare free vision
Glare=brightness within the field of vision that causes eye fatigue or loss in visual performance;

Protective Lighting
The lux is the metric unit of light measurement it replaces the footcandle (fc) Illumination is measured in lux (lx)
Illumination measures the visible light falling per unit area in a given position illumination concerns the spectral sensitivity of the human eye Illumination can also be measured in foot-candles (fcd): One lux equals about one tenth of a footcandle 1 lx = 10.76 fcd. (Note that 1 lx can be interpreted as 1 meter-candle).
