To Whom It May Concern, I am interested in obtaining a position as an Assistant Principal at within you school system. I have completed the Add-On in School Administration Licensure at Gardner-Webb University August 2013. My role as an administrator intern while working on my licensure consisted of assisting administration with assigned tasks involving interviewing potential candidates for the school, assisting with data analysis, aid with disciplinary procedures, assisting with professional development (i.e. book study), curriculum design and improvement. These opportunities have enabled me to develop strong communication, organizational and leadership skills. Im currently serving the role as a Special Education Teacher at Red Springs Middle school in Public Schools of Robeson County. This position has afforded me the opportunity to have direct interactions with diverse populations of students and therefore foster my skills and knowledge as an educator. My working experience with the special education population has been very demanding but yet fulfilling. I have worked extensively with teachers through collaborative efforts to ensure academic success for students. Ive carried the role of LEA representative within IEP meetings and worked along with administration with disciplinary actions for students within the EC program and others adhering to disciplinary procedures and regulations. As Assistant Principal, I seek to work with the vision within the school community to promote professional growth and development, as well as teamwork and cooperation to provide academic success for students for the 21st Century.
