DEECHA PANCAKES1

These pancakes were a Mennonite staple, because no matter how empty the larder and the pocketbook, a farmer always had flour, eggs and milk. We ate them rolled up and dipped into white sugar. This recipe- Moms- appears in the Mennonite Treasury of Recipes with detailed directions. 1 cups white flour tsp salt 3 eggs 1 cup milk

Deecha is the phonetic spelling for a Low Dutch word meaning German, so these are really German Pancakes. They resemble crepes, but have no sugar.
