Classroom notes:
While we enjoyed the special events of Social Justice Week I think all the students were happy to be back to the normal routine. That being said we really jumped into our new Construction Theme. All of the students are very excited about our new roles. We are exploring the roles of architect, foreman, construction worker, plumber, painter, decorator, and we have a hardware store. This week we worked on sorting, retelling familiar stories, identifying and describing basic shapes, letters and their sounds, and we continued our talks about calming down. We have been working on learning how to state our feelings and take belly breaths when we have a strong feeling. Practice at home.

Religion:
This week we heard the story of Jesus healing the sick. The students pretended to be sick and then became well during appropriate parts of the story. We talked about how God gave Jesus the power to help the sick. That is why we pray to God when we are sick, or when we know of someone who is sick.
