Classroom notes:
We have begun our second to last unit of the year! Where has the time gone? We have begun to focus on growing and changing. We will be talking about the life cycles of plants, caterpillars, and people. This week we got a brief overview of these ideas and generated a list of things that we know grow and change. We are awaiting the arrival of some caterpillars that we will follow on their journey to becoming a butterfly. We have set up our classroom with new zones as well. We have a florist shop, landscapers, researchers, gardeners, park maintenance, and doctors office. The students have done a great job setting up the new stations and getting into these new roles.

Religion:
During Holy Week we focused on the Easter Story. We talked about what happens on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. The students know that Jesus dies on the cross for us, and that on Easter we are happy because he comes back to life. This is a difficult concept for young children to grasp. Talking about it at home will help. We hope you can attend Good Friday Service as a family.
