UoI:
Central Idea: Where we are in Place and Time: Systems and ideas of ancient

civilizations are evident in society today.

Monday: Please send in photos of your child from when they were a baby up until now. It would be best to send in color copies of photos or email them to us to print them out. We will be making a timeline in class which will have a cross curricular link with our new UoI and math. Please fill out the questionnaire in the homework book on Monday about milestones in your childs life such as first tooth, first steps etc so that their timeline can be even more meaningful.

Mathematics:
Sunday: Please complete page 87 in your HW book. Monday: Complete page 89 please. You will need to measure your bed using your hand span. Tuesday: Please complete page 91 Wednesday: Please complete page 93

Literacy:
Sunday: Use the loose sheet in your Tuesday: Be a word detective! See if you can find homework book to create make a your spelling words in a books or magazines etc. word box. You can write them or build them by cutting letters out of the magazines. Monday: Read your individual Wednesday: Read your group reader. Practice your reader. Practice your spelling words spelling words on the sheet pasted in your book. on the sheet pasted in your book.

Class Dojos:
We will be recording our class dojos on a Sunday and Wednesday in the HW books. On a Sunday we will write down how many dojos we have at the start of the week. For HW on a Wednesday night please work out with your child how many more dojos they achieved this week. Wednesday: Please record your Dojo weekly scores. E.g.: 26 dojos on Sunday and 30 on Wednesday night, weekly score: 4 dojos.
