Executive summary of
On the following table record in the Start column your current levels of happiness in key areas of your life. When you have finished the slides and implemented the strategies within it, fill in the End column to measure your progress.
Responsibility
Take personal responsibility for your life, otherwise you are handing the control of your life to another, or you are standing on your own boat without your hands on the steering wheel.
Energy
All life is energy. Increasing energy, knowledge and strategies for growth in life will help us best place that additional available energy to boost our default level of happiness.
2. Our beliefs cause us to behave in a certain way, often so repeatedly that we are unaware of it. The way we behave determines the results we get in life. If we change our beliefs for the better, we change our results for the better. 3. It is not about right or wrong beliefs. The important thing is to determine which beliefs or statements you repetitively say are EMPOWERING and which are disempowering. The aim is to tap into more of the empowering beliefs and replace disempowering beliefs with even more empowering beliefs.
That Newton dude was on to something: What we give out, we get back
1. You can dispute or ignore universal laws of physics if you want, but they will still do what they have always done. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction ... every time. 2. The more effort or energy we put into something, the greater the effect and the greater possible result. As a former engineer in the Army, I can assure you that the more explosive we used, the bigger the bang, every time. Its the same with you the more energy you put into a situation, the greater the results will be. But remember, just as an engineer blowing up a decommissioned bridge knows, where you place the explosive is just as important as having the right type and amount of explosive for the task. It is not just about the energy you exert, but where and how you do it. Be very conscious about where and how you direct your energy.
E+R=O
1. It is our Response (R) to any given Event (E) that determines what the final Outcome (O) will be. 2. We are free to decide what meaning we give to situations and then what behavior (or actions) we carry out. It is that meaning and that behavior which will have the greatest bearing on the end result.
2. Be mindful of the words you speak and think every day. The words you say to yourself have an enormous impact on your self-image and self-worth. Speaking to yourself with love and kindness not only increases your happiness, it will also lead you to speak to others with kindness, thereby encouraging them to reciprocate that kindness to you.
