Perfect Scorers on the Spelling Test Congratulations to these students for scoring a perfect score on Fridays test: Tristin Jersey Cody Dakota Brooke Kylie Ashtin Kenzie Jared Bailey Kayden
Spelling I do not send home words on a sheet in an effort to save paper. Your child will be writing them in his or her agenda every Monday. I will also include those in my newsletters. Your childs spelling words for this week are: grumble tangle stubborn attitude exercise island chocolate example maybe nation pajamas reptile more her adjective Three times each is always due no later than Thursday morning. March is Reading Month We have been reading The Secret Zoo with fourth and sixth grades in the Commons, following along with the audio. This is our One Book, One Wing activity that we are doing in the upper el. They have really been enjoying this time (9:45-10:15) so we are going to continue reading it together next week. Ask your child about the story. This is a good opportunity for you to ask them questions because you probably havent read the book yet. Some questions you could ask might be: What are some conflicts that have occurred so far? Were any of them solved? How? Have them describe the main characters. Weebly Web Page Please dont forget to check out our class weebly web page. The site address is: karenberry.weebly.com. I have updated events posted, pictures, web sites that we have used, and every parent letter that has been sent home. Sometimes spelling lists get lost at home. Thats no problem; just go into the weebly site and look at the parent letters for the list your child needs. However, he or she is supposed to be writing the list in their agenda on Mondays. Math Unit Test Coming Up So far, its looking like your child will be taking the unit test on Thursday. Please look for his or her review test on Wednesday and have your child practice those problems and, if time, plug in different numbers for them to solve. Be sure and sign the review sheet for additional extra credit and make sure your child returns it on Thursday! Dates to Remember March 21 Students Released at 11 AM.
