8ort 9onifacio" the former 5illiam 7c:inley" *resent site of the Phili**ine Army !ead;0arters is a s*rawling 2"%,. < hectare military reser#ation" bo0nded by 40adal0*e" 7akati" Pateros and Tag0ig. Ac;0ired by *0rchase in 111& by 7ayor (.2 =ol0nteers" it was first named after the 2% th President of the >nited 2tates < 5illiam 7c:inley. ?n @0ly 1" 11+ " 8ort 5illiam 7c:inley was made the *ermanent head;0arters of the Phili**ine Army. 6n 8ebr0ary 13" 11+ " by #irt0e of 4eneral ?rder 3o. 132" A8P 8ort 5illiam 7c:inley was renamed after the 4reat Plebian of the re#ol0tion < Andres 9onifacio. The officers and men of the Phili**ine Army re;0ested the 'e*artment of (d0cation thr0 channels to start an elementary school inside the cam* to cater to the needs of military children and de*endents. 8ort 5illiam 7c:inley (lementary 2chool was established in 3o#ember" 11 1 according to 7rs. (llen 2olidi0m" one of the *ioneer teachers of the school classes were held in A0onset ;0arters left by the American soldiers. The school site was where the 3AP?BC?7 stands today. There was no s0mmer #acation d0ring the school year in order to make 0* for the delayed o*ening of the classes. '0ring the school year of 11%%-11%+" the school was transferred to the site along the national road in 9arangay 5est -embo with the land area of 2 " 231 s;0are meters. Army<Ty*e school b0ildings were b0ilt by the Phili**ine Army to accommodate the growing *o*0lation of the school. Bater on" these Army-Ty*e b0ildings were demolished and re*laced by 7arcos-Ty*e and 9agong Bi*0nan two-storey b0ildings. A two storey Cario-ty*e b0ilding was also constr0cted and com*leted in 1111. 6n 1112" a fo0r-storey b0ilding '(:A'A2 1& was constr0cted. Today" the com*lete and im*osing b0ilding stands tall and *ro0d" one of the landmarks in the City of 7akati. 6t is one of the best elementary schools in the city in terms of str0ct0re" facilities" e;0i*ment and *ersonnel. 8or the *ast three months" doing field st0dy in 8ort 9onifacio (lementary 2chool as an obser#ant and *re-ser#ice teacher changed into something worthy of holding on to o0r chosen career that is being a T(AC!(- someday. 6 ha#e obser#ed that the classroom organiCation as well as the *roced0res and the st0dents indi#id0al characteristics were $0st common to e#ery classroom. 6 had a lot of e)*eriences and learning abo0t the *0*ils beha#ior. The *hysical arrangement was somewhat coCy" the daily *roced0res and ro0tines were done as sched0led. 6 as an obser#er kee* a r0nning record of e#erything that ha**ens d0ring the instr0ctional *eriod to get an o#er#iew of the lesson. The lesson was organiCed in a manner that the ob$ecti#es were *resented to be *ercei#ed by the st0dents. The materials" methods and *roced0res of the lesson *lan were s0ccessf0lly e)ec0ted. 5hen theres a *roblem that may arise in the classroom the teacher can easily resol#ed conflicts" as the teacher 0ses kind words and dealing it with a low tone #oice. 8or the *ast few months of obser#ation" we ha#e come 0* with a better 0nderstanding of the world we are trying to fit in. 5hen the time came that 6 need to say 4oodbye" 6 saw their face sad beca0se 6 think they are comfortable with me.
