/ut o7 se+en colle(es in the .echnolo(ical 8ni+ersity o7 the Philippines $anila, only the Colle(e o7 Science o77ers +arious academic su3jects that prepares the students to 3ecome scienti7ically literate, technical competent and (lo3al competiti+e, 9t is the 7oundation o7 learnin( in $athematics, Chemistry and Physics and other science related su3jects, .he Colle(e o7 Science has an appro:imately 1,200;1,300 students and o77ers 7i+e <achelor e(ree courses such as <S9., <SCS, <S9S, <S"S and <*S1., Students 7rom other colle(es also use the Colle(e o7 Science particularly the 7irst and second year, Colle(e o7 Science has three departments, the Chemistry department 6hich has ei(ht =>? rooms, Physics department 6ith se+en =&? rooms and $ath department has 1) rooms 7or their o6n 7ield o7 study, "ach room has an appro:imately @0 chairs =$ono3locA, $etal and Booden Chairs?, /+erall there are 2' rooms and a total o7 1)@0; 1@00 chairs in the Colle(e o7 Science, .hese total num3ers o7 chairs are directly proportional to the num3er o7 students 3ut the pro3lem is that most o7 the chairs are 3roAen, +andaliCed 3y students and rusty, .hese pro3lems a77ect the students, ha+in( rust in the chair cause to ha+e a stain in their uni7ormsD 3roAen chairs may result 7or any accidents and most o7 the students are not com7orta3le 6ith their studies 3ecause o7 the 3ad condition o7 the chairs, * &00 pesos de+elopment 7ee 7or the impro+ement o7 the 7acilities is 3ein( included in the tuition 7ee o7 students, <ut still students cannot 7eel the impro+ements in the 7acilities especially the chairs, .hese pro3lems (a+e a hint
