Comments (for parents): Amy is struggling to attain the speaking objective because of some fears of speaking in front of the class. We have decided to adjust the objective by allowing her to only tell me the directions. She is struggling to memorize the phrases and remember verb conjugations. We have decided to meet one on one to practice these skills. Amy is particularly good at listening and responding to directions and reading and responding to directions. She is on her way to achieving an A because she is beginning to exhibit signs of guessing the meanings of other words by looking at the context.
