Day one : 1. Introduce vocabulary 2. Have students interview each other. 3. Assign : Family tree worksheet for students to complete. Day two: 1. Warm-up (5-10 min): Family tree 2. Communicative Partner activity (15-20 minutes) : Each group of students will receive a family tree and a set of questions. Students will ask his/her partner questions that can only be found on his/her partners family tree. Once one student is finished interviewing their partner and recording the answers, they switch. 3. Follow up (5 min) Teacher will ask students the questions on both family trees and discuss answers. 4. Assign for homework: Lopez family tree Day three: Hand out CSI activity (whole hour): Students will work with a partner to solve a mystery using clues in Spanish. Students will use the clues and draw the locations of the individuals in the story. Day four : Game board review and give assessment: Family quiz Day five: Hand out La Familia Proyecto (4-5 days in class)
