A.Cognitive:

1. -to review and consolidate the use of prepositions of place;


2. -to develop reading, speaking, writing, listening skills.
3. -to review and consolidate the main words and structures learnt so far- the rooms of the
house, household items,chores
4. -to encourage students to learn the English language through dialogues, conversation;
B. Affective:
1. create a warm atmosphere for classroom
2. stimulate pupils creativity and imagination

ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS: If students do not understand the oral commands or the tasks,
they will be translated into Romanian
1 .Warm Up

Procedure: T greets the pupils and ask about their mood. T checks homework.
Timing:5 min

2. Introducing the new lesson

Procedure: The teacher tells the pupils today Pokemon,his cat,was hiding under the bed before
he left to school and it was very hard to get her out of there.
The teacher tells pupils that they will revise the prepositions of place and vocabulary related to
the house but also finish their contest.
The teacher asks the pupils to remember the prepositions of place by listening to ,,In, On,
Under Song” and identify the prepositions of place in the song.

3 . Practice
Activity 1:

Procedure: The teacher asks the pupils to watch and listen to a video presenting rooms of
house.
The pupils have to say the rooms they have heard.
Then the teacher says they will now have a contest and makes two groups:the boys group and the
girls group.
The teacher displays several flashcards one at a time and asks the pupils to identify the house
items. If they don’t, the teacher tells them what it is and have them repeat.
Then teacher splits the blackboard into four sections (as the rooms of the house), tags the rooms
and asks pupils where the house items should be placed. A pupil from each team is told to come
to the blackboard and pin the flashcard in the right room.

4 . Activity 2:

Procedure: The teacher tells pupils that one of them will mime an action done in a room and
another pupil will have to guess the action.
Timing:10 min

5.Activity 3:

Procedure: The teacher asks s the pupils to work in pairs. The pupils ask about their partner’s
house. Then, they report back to the class.
e.g. S1: What is there in your bedroom?
S2: (There’s) a bed….
S1: This is ……..’s bedroom. There is a bed, a desk, a bookcase on the wall,…etc..

The teacher makes error corrections and helps the pupils, where necessary.

The teacher tells pupils they are going to watch a video about different chores in the house. Then
he tells pupils he will name a member from the boys team and one from the girls team.
The pupils who tells more words win the round and earn points for the team.

6 .Activity 4:

Procedure: T will say to pupils they are going to role play a dialogue with their deskmate
