Dear future rst grader and family,

I am so excited to be sending this letter to you!

This is my rst time teaching 1
st
grade and I cant
wait! I graduated from Washington State University
two years ago and have been teaching English in Taiwan
since then. I love to travel, try new things and see new places. I just moved to
Richland with my dog Henry and we love it here! I hope you had a wonderful
summer with lots of laughs, friends, sunshine, and fun!

I would like to invite you and your family to Meet the Teacher night on Monday,
August 25
th
at Tapteal. You can come to our room (#13) anytime between 5:30 and
6:30. This is time for us to meet and so you can drop of your supplies for the year
its lots to carry! I have included a copy of the supply list for the year on the back
of this letter.

I am also sending you a student survey for you and your family to ll out and bring
with you to Meet the Teacher night. If you will be riding the bus you can nd this
years routes in the paper Sunday before school starts or at www.rsd.edu.

If for some reason you are unable to attend, please bring your supplies with you on
the rst day of school Tuesday, August 26
th
. Remember, the day begins at 8:40
AM!

We have so much fun and learning planned for this year! I look forward to meeting
you and working with you and your family during the 2014-2015 school year!
