Perspective drawing

Perspective drawing
1 point perspective
In 1 point perspective drawings, the receding lines converge to one vanishing point and the front of the object is placed
on the ground line.
2 point perspective
In 2 point perspective drawings, there are two vanishing points on the horizon line. The corner of the object sits on the
ground line. The sets of receding lines from each side converge to vanishing points, on either side of the object.
Some things to remember...
> The vanishing points are situated on the horizon line.
> The object is situated on the ground line.
> Perspective drawings can show objects from many different directions and heights. This is achieved by altering the
vanishing points, horizon line and ground line.
> All receding lines must converge to a vanishing point.
Perspective drawings are used to depict 3-dimensional objects.
They are frequently used by designers because they create an
illusion of reality. Perspective drawings have a ground line, horizon
line, receding lines and vanishing points. There are two types of
perspective drawings: 1 point and 2 point perspective.
